53 Blonde Highlight Styles From Sun-Kissed to Bold Streaks

blonde highlights short hair

A light shade of honey blonde balayage hair color gives a sweet, sun-kissed look, while the choppy texture lends a fashion-forward quality to the style. If you’ve got fine hair with straight texture, this blonde bob cut is tailor-made for you! A softly angled bob with subtle layers at the very bottom keeps the cut from falling flat. The long bangs add volume to the front of the blonde bob and give the cut a nice lovely finish. White platinum allover color is high-maintenance but totally worth it!

#43: Spiced-Up Red and Blonde Highlights

If you’re looking for a way to experiment with color, try adding some highlights to your short hair for a must-have look. From caramel to platinum blonde highlights, there are so many chic options you can choose from. Check out these nine gorgeous ideas for jazzing up short hair with highlights.

Modern Bob with Silver and Ash Blonde Accents

Changing your hair by adding highlights will ensure a bold look and lower maintenance. Great for women of any age who like to have a playful look and love to have texture. Rock a short bob with dark roots if you want to add some sparkle to your naturally dark hair. If you’d like to try a short bob with highlights, ask your stylist for a full head of thin highlights with a shadow root to keep the grow-out soft and natural.

#36: Opalescent Golden Blonde

The lixie cut, short and blonde with dark underneath, is a trendy and modern hairstyle that exudes confidence and style. This short layered style has a dark color underneath. The dark color adds depth and dimension to the overall look. It’s perfect for busy women who want a chic, effortless style.

When you want some length in your hair but still love it off your neck, ask your stylist for a bixie. It’s a long pixie, which allows you style versatility. It works great with dimensional colors, like a blonde with dark roots. Try to use a curl mousse or gel and let your hair air dry when you can. Then use an iron to define the curls where it’s needed.

Wearing this style in layers is another great way to amp up this look. A buttery blonde pixie cut with a tinge of yellow looks great on pinkish undertones. Side part your short blonde hair tresses and comb flat for a preppy cropped bob. This modern short angled bob with blonde highlights is toned to create more dimension to your blonde coils. Short hair with blonde highlights is great because it can be adjusted in length to suit any hair texture and any face shape.

Sleek Gradient with Ash-Blonde Ends

It’s a favorite fallback look for that star known for her trendy personal style. The ombre color from ash blonde roots to honeyed ends is cut in a long, layered bob and styled with beach spray and loose finger waves. Combine shoulder-length “the sun and sea air did this to my hair color” blonde with messy waves and you’ve got this look with dark roots nailed. The color gradually goes from dark roots to platinum tips, and the single-length lob is broken up with messy waves.

A Hint of Red

“One side of the head has chunky blonde highlights, while the other has a large section of darker color,” Richards explains. Having trouble figuring out what colors work best together on warm brown hair? The contrast of blonde against a milk chocolate base creates a dramatic, stylish yet natural-looking effect.

A soft blend of blonde ambition meets effortless beach waves in this sunny style. It’s a perfect harmony of casual and chic, complementing a diamond or oval face shape with its brightening and softening effects. Short hair isn’t just one look, there are actually more options for hairstyles for short hair than for long hair! They look put together every day because they can’t just throw it up in a ponytail. Haircuts for short hair take a little more effort to style, but it is worth it when you feel and look amazing. This slightly asymmetrical A-line bob is just a skosh shorter in the back, which means the star's pale blonde and ivory highlights add even more lift and dimension.

Short haircuts are fun, charming, playful, and bold. Although a short undercut minimizes daily styling time, it requires more frequent appointments to keep that exact style in place. Your stylist may recommend keeping your highlighted pixie cut maintained every 3-5 weeks while adding your blonde to the mix every other to every third appointment. The multi-tonal effect of platinum highlights against the dirty blonde base looks catchy and sophisticated. The golden blonde highlights on this angled stacked bob add a glamorous touch to the short hair.

Caramel ombre is a great way to bring some warmth and intensity to your dark hair without having to worry about keeping regular salon appointments. This sparkling look is flattering and pretty—choosing the right brightness and temperature of your highlights will make your face glow. It doesn’t take much to upgrade your natural color—brightening the ends and the face-framing pieces is a winning combination. Highlights don’t have to be done using the same technique throughout the hair. For example, a combination of babylights, balayage and foils can be used to create a personalized look. Light brown and blonde highlights will help highlight and define the curl pattern. This combination of blonde money pieces and dark brunette hair is very universal and trendy. It is easy and inexpensive to maintain and looks gorgeous on any hair length. Besides, highlights are a great way to emphasize hair texture. Blonde highlights can have any vibe that your heart desires. If you want to richen up your hairstyle with various tones, take inspiration from these ombre highlights.

The shades and movement from the waves blend so well, forming a smooth dimensional effect in your hair. The dimensional waves showcased here are softly kissed by a subtle blonde balayage. The gentle flow of color adds depth to the waves and brings out the texture of the hair, making it look fuller and more vibrant. This style is versatile and flattering on all face shapes, perfect for those who want a natural but noticeable lift to their hair.

Try longer shapes with a soft razor-cut edge to make the grow-out less bulky. Trying a new hair dye to change your style can help you love the grow-out process even more. Try an icy blonde-toned graduated bob with wispy layers to change your look. But keep them longer for a low-maintenance schedule. An icy blonde will require frequent salon visits as it’s a lifestyle.

The short dark underneath keeps it looking dense while the highlights throughout keep it light and airy on top. This short hairdo is more of a high-maintenance style. I recommend getting a reshape every 4-5 weeks to keep the shape sharp and polished.

#21: White Blonde Asymmetric Pixie

This short cut is the best hairstyle for girls with lots of hair. This chin-length golden blonde bob is perfectly textured to take the bulk out of the hair while keeping that gorgeous full thickness. Warm, honey blonde highlights over deeper auburn roots give some nice dimension, and the curls give movement and volume to the overall style. Blonde highlights on light brown hair give that golden-toned ombre.

Jennifer Aniston Bob Haircuts

This unique haircut works best for those with a bold personality and a desire to make a statement with their hair. The contrast between the blonde on top and the dark underneath creates a striking visual effect that is eye-catching and edgy. The combination of ash blonde and dirty blonde is gorgeous. Think this blonde hair color for your short hair if you need something easy-maintenance, especially if you’re moving from a darker color to a light blonde. This cool haircut with big crimped curls is more 2018 than 1980s.

Light blonde balayage will look fabulous with fair rosy skin like this. What you should beware of is bleaching hair this way in winter or when your hair is already damaged by hot styling. Bright blonde hair color can create an amazing contrast with a tan complexion, so if it sounds like you, go for it!

If you are not sure how to completely dye your hair in blonde, do it with highlights. Golden hues can be enriched with lovely platinum highlights. Even if you think that mixing warm and cold tones might not be a good idea, this has shown all of us that we were wrong. Choppy bob is one of the favorite hairstyles of many girls.

Some money pieces are extra thick, while others, like Jamie Chung’s, are slimmer but not thin or nonexistent. Cara Delevigne has been rocking this choppy blonde pixie for a while now, and we're still fans. Honey blonde with bleached ends is a welcomed twist on the traditional blonde bob. A good purple shampoo is the number one product you need to help keep this whitish blonde color.

The highlights add depth and warmth, making the curls pop and giving the hairstyle a vibrant, dimensional look. This style is particularly flattering for those with oval and square face shapes, as the curls add softness and the highlights frame the face. The beachy blonde bob with dark roots offers a youthful and trendy vibe, perfect for framing the face and highlighting the cheekbones.

If you are planning to go to Coachella, it’s time for you to pick the right hairstyle. If you like highlighted hair strands, you will adore them even more in summer. In combination with beach waves and sun, your hair will be even lighter than it already is.

The Essential San Gabriel Valley Restaurant Crawl with Johnny Lee of Pearl River Deli

kim kee noodle house

With the newest wave of mainland Chinese immigrants and businesses, there is now a whole different economy going on that Angelenos outside of SGV simply don’t experience. The socioeconomic change is not all about new money, but about contemporary mainland Chinese practices too. As we finished our noodles, Johnny said how this is not necessarily bad, especially for food and restaurants.

This location has a huge parking lot and it never an issue finding one. The broth is so consistent every single time. I always order #17 (Pho Ga) and my husband always get #1 which is the special pho with a ton of delicious meats. He always orders a large with extra filet mignon lol. The spring rolls here are good, but you can’t really mess up spring rolls.

The Essential San Gabriel Valley Restaurant Crawl with Johnny Lee of Pearl River Deli

I ordered a #5 which is the pho tai (rare beef only). The regular suited me just fine and I remember thinking that it had a great ratio of soup/noodles/meat. I can never finish the noodles but this time I was able to even with the copious amounts of beef and soup.

They are so thick and stuffed with taro and shrimp. The vermicelli noodles are so soft, and goes well with everything. In minutes, our noodle bowls hit the table steaming and topped with an incredibly aromatic allium-infused oil, shrimp and beef, as well as bean sprouts and spring onions served in a little sidecar.

The rice paper rolls can be ordered however you want them, with fillings such as shrimp and beef. It’s all perfectly balanced with the sticky-yet-smooth rice wrapper, and the salty/sweet flavors just slightly acidic from the touch of vinegar in the dipping sauces. Sides of chive rice cakes are worth getting if you are extra hungry.

More recently, we tried the Cha Ca La Vong which is basically spring rolls but with fish – enough for two people. I wish the fish sauce was a bit more savory versus the sweet kind because I think that’d taste better, but it’s still really tasty! There’s plenty of fish and veggies but I wish they provided more rice paper. If you need extra, they charge a dollar or two for more (which I think should be free).

My boyfriend and I both got the #1 combination pho. I actually couldn’t finish my regular bowl because they give you so much of everything. So much meat, so many noodles and all the broth you’ll need.

Kim Kee Noodle House Reviews

I typically give all my tripe and tendon to my boyfriend, but I hoarded my tendon to myself here. When you show up, don’t be surprised if there’s a legit line. This is something you and the other waiting customers have to manage since there’s no list to take down your names. A waiter will look over and ask how many and if you’re in luck, there might be a table for you. It is your normal Vietnamese food but the special grilled fish is what we order (pictures all over the wall).

I ended up collaborating with 18 regular patrons of the SGV dining scene, documenting their feelings and memories as a way to understand the cultural significance of these restaurants. Day (and night if they were actually open at night, but they are not), packed with people all the time. Food is good and cheap it's a hidden gem that yelp doesn't know about. We always get the house special dry noodle version to go for lunch. We literally come here once a week because it's so good and the portion is super generous. It can feed up to 2 people so be sure to share or ready to take some back home!

As I mentioned in the vermicelli dish, they are thicccc and they’re stuffed with shrimp and taro, and they taste so perfect with the nuoc mam. These restaurants serve a hearty breakfast for the working class. The Teochew style noodles come with endless combinations of beef, shrimp, seafood, fish and beef, and even beloved offal cuts. The special oil on top of the noodles is intoxicating in taste and smell, and the texture contrasts of the noodles and proteins are deeply satisfying for the savory breakfast lover. The bbq pork is just so juicy and soft and has great marination to it.

It has more of a hole-in-the-wall vibe with slightly sticky tables/menus. It’s a huge restaurant, with tons of tables, but the tiny mall it’s in doesn’t have the most parking. Came here during my lunch break during a work conference, and it’s the perfect place for a quick meal! Parking is a bit tough in the plaza, and it does get packed during peak lunch hours, but my party and I were sat immediately when we got there, and the service was quick and efficient.

There was only one time 6pm on a Sunday where it took 45+ mins to get our food and drinks, but that was one out of the 50 times we have been here. That didn’t changed our minds about this place. I got the Pork Vermicelli bowl and my goodness, it was the biggest one I’ve ever had! The ones I usually get are much smaller than these, and the egg rolls are a lot smaller too. The egg rolls in this bowl were huge, which I’m not complaining about because I LOVE egg rolls.

One of the hottest new Chinese millennial spots in town, according to Chinese social media. Beer towers and trays of shot glasses populate the tables and the single-bite skewers come ten or twenty to an order. Come early or be prepared to wait on weekend nights. The Chinese-inspired decor and raucous but fun atmosphere make this the perfect finger food and drinking spot. Over the last decade, SGV has experienced a serious influx of new money. It’s a somewhat unique phenomenon to the area, given the region has the country’s largest population of Taiwanese and Chinese Americans.

Dim-sum restaurants are declining partly because the traditional dishes are extremely labor-intensive and require a very specific skill set to execute. Staffing and compensation are huge barriers to success for many dim-sum restaurants, leading to the closure of many the banquet halls over the last decade. LunAsia is one of the few dim sum restaurants that continue to open locations, having just opened the third in Cerritos. Diners from all backgrounds love and respect dim-sum, the demand is high and the good stuff in LA is east of Chinatown.

This place is good for a quick satisfying meal. Cleanliness could better, and so could the service, but they’re both decent. Sometimes the waiters and waitresses will even smile at you…rare sighting, LOL, but overall the food here is good and so is the price. With some restaurants, you need to go for specific dishes and, at LunAsia, it’s that rice paper roll.

The ingredients are fresh, and they are wrapped well without the wrap getting dried out. Bun Rieu (Crab Tomato Soup with Udon-like Noodles) – There is a strong tomato-y taste with lots of crab/pork pieces. LOL, it satisfies my craving for pasta strangely. Reproduction in whole or in part without permission is prohibited. As the oldest Teochew restaurant in Far East Plaza, it’s been open since the 1970s and is worth checking out.

Says enough for 2 people but we stretched it out to 4 adults having 3 rolls each. One of the very few newer-generation Cantonese restaurants. Ho Kee has a smaller menu than most of its similar predecessors, but it does a few things right and roast duck is one of them.

LunAsia in Alhambra: Rice Paper Rolls

The soup broth is really good and the humble pho just shines here. The beef was all really tender and it was actual fillet mignon – no stringiness, no tendons, just pure beefy perfection. We ordered pork chops, combo pho #1 and egg rolls.

Kim Kee Noodle House Reviews

There are no carts at LunAsia as everything is made fresh to order. An old mainstay on Garfield, this place is known for its cold table which is a buffet-style display filled with a mixed selection of cold marinated salads and dishes that are pre-prepared and ready for takeaway. Anything from the cold table can be eaten as an appetizer, with rice, or as a side to the rest of your meal. The menu is a glimpse into what you might find in the Yunnan region in Southwestern China bordering Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam. The dishes can be on the spicier side and often feature fresh herbs and a variety of mushrooms. There’s truly something for everyone here; best to just go and taste.

Johnny hopes his inspiration can push people the extra ten miles to also experience this stellar food. In some ways his Pearl River Deli can be thought of as a portal to SGV. Opening up the menu to dishes beyond his Cantonese heritage has allowed Johnny and his team to keep it interesting for all generations, while still using techniques like wok-cooking to honor tradition.

New Kim Kee Noodle House

The array of noodle choices and condiments on the table showed us the broad cultural influences Teochew cuisine had to offer. One good thing is that the ubiquitous stereotype of cheap Chinese food is slowly being chipped away as customers demand better quality ingredients. When dining at the new transplant hot pot chains like Xiao Long Kan Chinese Hot Pot or HaiDiLao, it’s rare to get out for under $50 per person. With the emergence and proliferation of these more elevated restaurants, there’s a clear link between China’s rise as an economic superpower and Chinese prosperity here.

Unlike Peking duck, the skin is not as crispy but overall the Cantonese-style roast is more flavorful. If you’re a Peking duck person, you’ll swoon for this succulent duck. Monterey Park, an “ethnoburb” and America’s first non-white dominant city, is just twelve miles east of LA’s historic Chinatown. It marks the beginning of this sprawling multi-generational and visibly Chinese-dominant region that grows all the way out to Diamond Bar. For many in Los Angeles, the San Gabriel Valley (SGV), has always been known as “that other Chinatown” or “the place with the good dim-sum,” but the restaurant scene there is quickly changing. Dim-sum banquet halls and decades-old Cantonese restaurants are closing and, in their place, trendy internationally-backed hot-pot places, mainland Chinese restaurants and boba chains are popping up.

We have never had a time where our food tasted different or bad. Their chicken in the pho is unbelievably soft and will literally fall apart in your mouth. The portions are gigantic so be careful when ordering a large! We’ve also tried their rice plates, vermicelli, egg rolls, and other things. But we always end up coming here for our pho cravings. The service is very quick, attentive, and you’re in and out in probably 20 mins.

At Kim Kee, some noodles dishes represent the introduction of wheat into Chinese cuisine, while others are made out of rice, with sauces that range from chili to modern-day Srirachas. Kim Kee Noodle easily flies under the radar of most foodies and food media because it’s so simple, yet the restaurant is a cornerstone of the community. One of the long lasting restaurants that serve Teochew flavors.

Johnny told me that Kim Kee Noodle is a classic Teochew noodle spot representing the long history of the Teochew diaspora and their presence in the SGV. The Teochew people have cultural roots in the eastern part of Guangdong province, the southern part of mainland China. They’re also one of the dominant groups of ethnically Chinese peoples throughout Southeast Asia including Singapore, Malaysia, and Cambodia. Many Teochew Chinese people were merchants and sailors that ended up in Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia. Now the population has spread across the world all the way to New Zealand and North America. In 2019, I took a break from chef life in restaurants and began my master's degree in cultural anthropology at Cal State LA.

Almost everything on the menu will satisfy your cravings. Three years later and I can still say this is the best pho spot I’ve been to. It’s one of the few restaurants where I can say the food has been consistent. The service could use a little work but it’s not terrible.

Meeting this requirement allows content to be correctly read aloud, enlarged, or adapted to meet the needs and preferences of different people. For instance, it can be presented using custom color combinations, text size, or other styling to facilitate reading. This requirement also facilitates other forms of adaptation, including automatic generation of page outlines and summaries to help people get an overview and to focus on particular parts more easily. Well-written text transcripts containing the correct sequence of any auditory or visual information provide a basic level of accessibility and facilitate the production of captions and audio descriptions. In this module, you’ll develop a basic understanding of some of the key legislation that impacts accessibility.

You’ll gain practical, hands-on skills that’ll enable you to assess and optimize for common accessibility issues, as well as show you how to place an emphasis on the quality of the user experience by avoiding classic mistakes. What’s more, you’ll also come away with the knowledge to conduct effective accessibility testing through working with users with disabilities. An example of poor accessibility is a website lacking alt text for images that are meant to convey meaning.

With the right focus, you will find that any design challenge can be met in a way that meets the needs of your executives, marketing team, Dribbble followers and all of your users, including those with disabilities. Below is one solution to the accessibility problems this design may cause certain groups of users. This helps users who are unable to, or have difficulty with, distinguishing one color from another. The program access requirement makes sure that individuals with disabilities are not excluded from any program, service, or activity provided by the state or local government because existing buildings and facilities are inaccessible. State and local governments must look at their programs, services and activities in their entirety or as a whole to ensure that they are accessible to individuals with disabilities. Making digital products accessible shouldn’t be a phase or extra step. And it shouldn’t be something subtracted from the “full” experience. Product managers, designers and developers need to incorporate these considerations into their respective best practices. Whether it’s undertaking a comprehensive digital transformation or developing new products and services, companies can be far more successful in these pursuits when they weave the needs and perspectives of people with disabilities into initial plans and objectives.

Another challenge is scheduling events in a way that avoids conflicts and provides enough variety throughout the voyage. Some music events on cruise ships take place outdoors, such as poolside concerts or performances on open decks. Wear sunscreen, bring a hat or sunglasses for sun protection, and have a lightweight jacket or sweater for cooler evenings.

They work closely with technical experts to overcome these challenges and provide optimal concert experiences for passengers. Some cruise lines have onboard concert arenas that rival traditional music venues.

Annual Music Cruises
